Description

The in-joke here is that both Snagglepuss and the Funky Phantom-AKA Sir Jonathan (Mudsy) Muddlemore- were both voiced by the great Daws Butler with pretty much the same vocal mannerisms. (Which were inspired by Bert Lahr's portrayal of the Cowardly Lion in THE WIZARD OF OZ)

(something I imagined, if Snagglepuss meets Mudsy, face-to-face...)


Snagglepuss: (yelps) Help!!! (hides behind a tree)

Mudsy: (yelps, and hides behind a rock)

Snagglepuss: (peeks out, finding no one there) Hey, why aren't you chasing me?

Mudsy: (peeks out) I thought you were gonna chase me, pursue, even...!

Snagglepuss: Oh, no, why would I chase after a ghost? Why? Why?

Mudsy: And why would I chase after a savage beast?

Snagglepuss: (glares) "Savage", you say? Now that's an insult! A poor one, at that!

Mudsy: It's true, I know a savage beast, when I see one, and you're a mountain lion, aren't you?

Snagglepuss: I may be a mountain lion, but I'm not savage!

Mudsy: And I may be a ghost, but I never harmed anyone, unless they deserved it. (disappears)

Snagglepuss: (surprised) Heavens to how about that, a ghost who's a fraidy-cat, a coward, even.
